Tdy, I went with the cGMP 02 class to pharmaceutical plant, Schering Plough for a visit. The plant is located at Tuas West. We can see Malaysia across the Straits.
The plant is very very big. It has steroid plant, multi product plant, tablet plan, biotech plant and a few others that i can't remember.
We were brought to visit the multi product plant. The building has 6 levels and it is separated into 2 phases. Only the 1st phase is in use though because the 2nd phase is waiting for approval or something like that. The equipments inside is gigantic. It is totally different from the reactor we see in the school labs. The reactors in the school lab can even be considered mini lah.
After visiting the multi product plant, we went to visit the R&D plant. Inside the building, research are being done. The reactors are much smaller. The personnel said that it is 4 times smaller than the multi prouct plant.
We finish the whole tour around 4.20pm+ and we reached SP at about 5pm. It was raining cats and dogs lah. I was drenched when i reached home. And the worst thing is the heater is not working!!!!! Everytime the heater was on, the circuit trips....lol...-.-' Imagine .... drenched but cannot take hot water bath and have to bathe with cold water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
