I reached Manchester International Airport around 6.40am.... the 13 hrs long flight is seriously tiring... my whole body was aching when i got down the plane... the airport was quite small and i dun see any shops in the transit area when i was going towards the immigrations... there were only a few counters opened so it took quite some time...
After i took my check in luggage, I started my way to the train station.... there are 3 terminals in the airport and my plane landed in terminal and that is the furthest terminal from the station. -.-' so i had to pull my luggages all the way to the train station.... and my hands felt numb because of the pulling.... when i reached there, I bought a ticket and went on the train...
From Manchester International Airport, i took a train to Manchester Piccadilly train station... at that station, I took a train to Birmingham New Street.... then at Birmingham New Street, I changed to another train to University station...
When I came out of the station, I pull my luggage all the way to the hostel.... it took almost an hour for me to reach the hostel and settle everything.... and usually that path only takes 10 mins....
After I bathed, I immediately went to the uni to attend the induction, but when i reached there, the induction ended then the person in-charged said that i did not miss any thing important and told me that there will me a meeting for the direct year 2 entries at 3pm... so I went to get my Uni ID card and bank, GP letters.... After that, I went to the marquee to ask whether do I need to register with the police, but luckily i no need.... :)
Then, I went to Llyods bank that was in my uni to open a bank account..... there were only 2 persons handling the account opening affairs but that were a lot of ppl queuing to open a bank account... After I open the bank account, I was told that it will take 1 week for me to receive my debit card and etc....
While I was waiting to open a bank account, I made a new friend, a girl from Taiwan... we went for lunch together after we settled the bank account... Before I left for my meeting, we agreed to go to New Street together but I could not contact her after the meeting....
At 3pm, I went to the Chemical Engineering department... I met 3 other direct second year students and the chairman in-charged of the direct second year students... He told us a few things that we need to take note and etc....
After the meeting, I went to Birmingham New Street to get my duvet and toiletries.... it was super heavy.... -.-'.... in the end i ended up with a blister on my right foot sole.... so pain... =(....
When I reached home, I went to bathed immediately and it was so cold.... after bath, I tidied up my room... then, I tried to setup my internet connection, but it failed because i haven receive my debit card.... -,-'
I almost met all of my housemates, but i think i kinda mixed up all their names... -.-'..
Today, I woke up around 7.30 plus bah.... I went to the receptions to ask about the internet... and then went to school for a fair.... but the fair wasnt until 10.30am... so i went to take my breakfast then I went to the bookshop to buy a map... After that, I went to the Chemical Engineering department to ask for some information... then I met another new direct entry 2nd year student.... then I brought him to the MOMD fair... but the fair is mainly for first year students... so we went to the library to check the information on the net....
After that, we went to ASA to ask some questions regarding the MOMD.... then we went back to Chemical Engineering department when the staff said that we could get more info from there... However, we didn't really get any info... -.-'.... Then we went to the Aston Webb Great Hall to get a bank letter....
When we were done with our things, we took the train to New Street... I got more stuff like groceries and shoes... I am desperate for a pair of new shoes.... After we got back from New Street, my friend helped me to carry the shoppings to my flat...
At night, I went together with my housemates to the guild house for a drink....
